What we see, and what we keep.
This covers Nootropic (the website, API and MCP server) and the Nootropic Shield browser extension.
What skills receive
When you run a skill, the input you send (text, a link, a token address, a transaction) is processed to produce the result and is not stored. Chain-reading skills look up public data about the addresses in your input on Robinhood Chain's public RPC.
What we store
For every call we keep a small activity record: which skill ran, whether it was a free sample or paid, the verdict, and how long it took. Paid calls also record the amount, the paying wallet address and the transaction hash, which are public on-chain anyway. For ETH payments we briefly keep a quote (the skill and a one-way hash of your input) for up to 24 hours, and a marker that a transaction was used, for 90 days. We do not keep skill inputs or outputs.
Nootropic Shield
Shield sends Nootropic only what it checks: the address of a Pons token you open or hover, or the details of a transaction a website asked your wallet to sign (from, to, data and value) or a signature request. These go to nootropic.family over HTTPS and are handled like any other free sample dose above.
Shield never reads your keys, seed phrase or wallet balances and cannot sign anything. It does not track the pages you visit, does not collect analytics and has no third-party code. Your two on/off settings are stored in your browser, and results are cached in browser memory until the browser closes.
Wallet and spending limits
Wallet connection happens in your browser through your wallet. Spending limits you set on the site are stored in your browser only.
Infrastructure
The site runs on Vercel, activity records are stored with Upstash, and on-chain reads go to Robinhood Chain's public RPC. Like any web host, these providers process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service. Rate limits use your IP address briefly, in memory.
No selling, no ads
We do not sell or rent data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to judge creditworthiness. We share it only with the providers above to run the service, or when the law requires it.
